Prior to the 2025 transfer, the Hamilton and Newey Ferrari scenario was disclosed.
Not only is the Mercedes star moving soon, but Red Bull design mastermind Newey has also announced that he would be leaving his present team before the 2019–20 season. In contrast to Hamilton, Newey has ties to teams like Ferrari, Aston Martin, and McLaren, but it is still unclear where he will end up. There was even a suggestion at one point that Newey had inked a whopping $105 million contract with the Italian team.
Earlier in the season, when Ferrari was dominating and Mercedes was having trouble, Hamilton’s maneuver appeared to be a brilliant one; however, in more recent times, the roles have somewhat changed.This has raised concerns about whether the seven-time winner might have regretted his choice.But Johnny Herbert, a former Formula One driver and Grand Prix winner, has put forth an intriguing theory implying that Hamilton has made the right decision and that, prior to joining the team, he must have spoken with Ferrari about possibly signing Newey alongside himself. Herbert maintains that there must be’something going on’.
It was the proper choice for him at the moment! The atmosphere was gloomy and the Mercedes looked awful. The vehicle lacked any competitiveness. Ferrari was performing better. About Hamilton’s Ferrari transfer, Herbert said, “It was also an opportunity to reset in that quest for an eighth world title.”
