Watch: When Tony Stewart threw helmet at Matt Kenseth’s moving Ford during 2012 Bristol race

With the Round of 16 finale at Bristol Motor Speedway just around the corner, NASCAR remembered the time when Tony Stewart flung his helmet at Matt Kenseth’s No. 17 Fusion Ford. Stewart and Kenseth were battling for the lead in the Irwin Tools Night Race at the Tennesseean short track oval 10 years ago

On lap 332, Stewart and Kenseth traded blows. In an attempt to pass one another, both drivers went straight into the inside wall. Kenseth was relegated back to 27th while Stewart had to settle for a P28 finish. After having dismounted his car, Stewart took off his helmet and threw it at Kenseth, who was still driving. According to Bleacher Report, Stewart’s wrath was upset with Kenseth’s blocking strategy moments before they tangled.

Clean-shaven Tony Stewart looks like he’s barely aged since he made his Nascar Cup Series debut in 1999. But he’s much different than he was 25 years ago.

Stewart, 53, and his wife Leah Pruett are expecting their first child in November. It’s a big change for Stewart, and it coincides with a plethora of shifts in his professional career.

“Absolutely not,” Stewart joked about being ready to become a father. “With everything we’ve done in motor sports, I can walk up to a racecar I’ve never driven and I can look at it and understand the majority of it before I ever make a lap in it. [Having a child] is a side that I have zero setup sheets and zero knowledge about. My wife laughs at me because I have a ‘Daddy App’ that gives me hints and tips every day.”
