The Cleveland Browns have dismissed offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey following a disappointing 3-14 season in 2024. This marks Dorsey’s second consecutive year facing mid-season termination; he was previously released by the Buffalo Bills in 2023.

Under Dorsey’s leadership, the Browns’ offense struggled significantly, averaging an NFL-low 15.2 points per game and ranking 28th in total offense. The team faced numerous challenges, including a season-ending torn Achilles injury to quarterback Deshaun Watson, which led to the utilization of four different quarterbacks throughout the season.

In addition to Dorsey’s departure, the Browns have also parted ways with offensive line coach Andy Dickerson. Despite these changes, head coach Kevin Stefanski is expected to remain with the team.

The Browns’ offensive struggles were compounded by injuries to key players, including running back Nick Chubb. The team scored more than 20 points in only three games during the season, highlighting the need for a revamped offensive strategy.

Looking ahead, the Browns hold a top-three pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, providing an opportunity to address offensive deficiencies. However, with Watson’s substantial contract and injury concerns, the organization faces significant decisions regarding the future direction of the team’s offense.

The search for a new offensive coordinator will be crucial as the Browns aim to rebound from a challenging season and enhance their offensive performance in the upcoming year.
